Helen has been a trainer in industry since 1997 providing training for hotels, beauty salons, spas, hospices, colleges and university. She is a graduate of Northumbria University having gained a Certificate in Education in 2001, and has lectured throughout the UK. Her experience over thirty years in the industry ensures care of the therapist themselves is always the focus of any training or development work.

In 2022 Helen began work as a Sector Expert with the Vocational Training and Charitable Trust (VTCT), and continues working with them moderating examination qualifications. In 2021 she was invited to join the Board of Directors at the Sports Massage Association taking an active part in steering industry standards and qualifications. Part of her role is to oversee the Continual Professional Development of members. Lifelong learning in its many forms remains a passion.

During 2023 and 2024 Helen has advised as a mentor for The Girls' Network, a national programme ensuring that a girl's background does not prevent her from setting and achieving goals.The Girls' Network. She took responsibility for helping to setting up a Mentoring Programme within the Sports Massage Association.

Trained by the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE) as a small business mentor, with over thirty years industry experience, Helen has proved a valuable mentor and professional supervisor to not only therapists, but to the wider business community as a business owner herself for almost 25 years. She would be happy to discuss your circumstances and look at ways of working together to help you realise your dream of creating the business you desire.
